Parallels with the Matrix

A coincidence it took me a long time to become aware of. The movie The Matrix and my own graphic game/multimedia satire project were both focused on the year 1999. I started my creative work in late1997 and finished it in late September 1999 to package it for January availability. The movie was released theatrically in March 1999: but I didn’t see it till it reached cable sometime in 2001. Loved the movie, not so much the sequels and lost track till I happened to see the movie on YouTube a few days ago. This time I observed some similarities that are striking in the context of my current End of Year essay on Instapunk Returns. Made me wonder about the viability of Carl Jung’s Collective Unconscious. Are their kinds of human communication were not aware of that nevertheless occur and nourish the participants regardless?
